โฃ๐˜‰๐˜ฆ๐˜ญ๐˜ช๐˜ฆ๐˜ง๐˜ด are ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜จ๐˜ฉ๐˜ต๐˜ด about how life is, should be, or could be codified into rules.โฃ โฃ

โฃIn short, a belief is an assumed truth; not to be confused with actual objective truths. They become self imposed rules that filter and shape your thinking about what is and isnโ€™t possible. They have little to do with actual truth. โฃ

โฃThe primary issue with having these strong beliefs is that over time they turn into ๐˜ข๐˜ถ๐˜ต๐˜ฐ๐˜ฎ๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ค ๐˜ณ๐˜ถ๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด that operate ๐˜ถ๐˜ฏ๐˜ค๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ด๐˜ค๐˜ช๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ด๐˜ญ๐˜บ. Which means you become completely unaware of them, yet they still guide your thoughts and actions; much like being on ๐˜ข๐˜ถ๐˜ต๐˜ฐ-๐˜ฑ๐˜ช๐˜ญ๐˜ฐ๐˜ต.โฃ

โฃThis could make life easy or completely wreck you. โฃ

โฃThe truth is, many of the beliefs that we adopt are ๐˜ฅ๐˜ช๐˜ด๐˜ฆ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฐ๐˜ธ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ and ๐˜ค๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ฏ๐˜ต๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ฑ๐˜ณ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฅ๐˜ถ๐˜ค๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ท๐˜ฆโ€”and we don’t even know it.โฃ

โฃSome of them you created yourself based on your ๐˜ฆ๐˜น๐˜ฑ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ค๐˜ฆ๐˜ด and ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฃ๐˜ด๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ท๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ด of the world.โฃ

โฃThey started out just as working assumptions about how parts of the world are, but over time they became hardened expectations which act like a lens and filter through in which you view and interpret the world.โฃ

โฃAlthough we do create some of our beliefs ourselves, many we simply adopt from others or are thrusted upon us by society.โฃ โฃ

โฃWe all absorb our cultural norms at some frequency but we often forget to question whether these are serving us or limiting us.โฃ

Many people hold steadfast onto their beliefs all their life. Never questioning anything. So, their results in whatever donโ€™t change much over the years. Hence why humans are so damn predictable. Karma? Ya, no. Youโ€™re just never evaluating your beliefs. โฃ

โฃ๐—” ๐—น๐—ถ๐˜๐˜๐—น๐—ฒ ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ฏ๐—ถ๐˜: people can rarely pin me into a โ€œthis is who she isโ€ because Iโ€™m constantly reevaluating my core beliefs. If you want to hit people with a plot twist, reevaluate your driverโ€”> ๐˜บ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ณ ๐˜ฃ๐˜ฆ๐˜ญ๐˜ช๐˜ฆ๐˜ง๐˜ด. โฃ

โฃThe question you need to be asking yourself, I mean if you truly want to live an autonomous lifeโ€”is who could you become if you change your limiting beliefs? What would you do? What would you have? How far could you go with this life? โฃ

โฃ๐—š๐—ผ๐—น๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ป ๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐—น๐—ฒ๐˜€ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—น๐—ณ ๐—ฎ๐˜„๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€ & ๐˜€๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ณ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—น๐—ฝ๐—ณ๐˜‚๐—น ๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐—น๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐—ณ ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐—ด๐—บ๐˜€: โฃ

โฃ1.) Identify any behaviors or beliefs that often disrupt your higher values and intentions. How do we do this? Think of something you struggle with relentlessly. Ask yourself why the situation is difficult for you? Then analyze the belief (e.g., ask where it came from, if itโ€™s indoctrination without merit, if itโ€™s really true, if itโ€™s helping you to reach mental security, etc.) and determine what a more empowering belief would be in that situation.โฃ

โฃ2.) Identify a recurring situation that pisses you off. Write down the belief that causes you to react negatively (hint: there is always a belief underlying a feeling). Take a few minutes to think about or write down the reasons the belief is false, or how it could be an illusion of the mind.โฃ

โฃ3.) Practice entering the situation with the new perspective over and over again, until you embody the new belief. All mental habits can be modified. We are not a tree that is rooted; we can adapt and move. Thoughts are the same as we can uproot them. โฃ
